How to pay health insurance?
The amount to be paid by OHIP, as determined by regulation. The amount for health care in the country to pay is very limitedTed and usually not enough to cover the cost of services rendered. Medicare covers only a very limited quantities for the two health care facilities and medical care. It is strongly recommended that an additional health insurance every time you recruit from Canada, provided is the expenditure on the limited resources of OHIP.
Medicare will not pay more than the service in Ontario would have.
For medical care OHIP will pay the actual cost of a country outside the doctor (s free) or the cost of the same medical service (s) in Ontario, whichever is the smaller. Medical care in Ontario are usually at a price significantly lower than those provided to non-medical facilities in the country. Note that outside the country, health and physicians usually bill on an individual basis.
For services to healthcare facilities OHIP will pay $ 50 Canadian (CAN) per day.
For inpatient services OHIP will pay Canadian $ 200 per day. If the services are hospital services in an operating room, intensive care, neonatal intensive care unit or PEDiatric special care unit, then OHIP will pay the highest rate of $ 400 per day for Canadian hospital services.
Dialysis services for patients, OHIP will pay $ 210 Canadian per day.
The "Day" above prices for all hospital services, including but not limited to, accommodation, food, medications, surgically implanted devices and nursing services.
Note: OHIP does not pay for emergency services, transport, or outside the hospital food or drugs or housing.
If physical therapy is the result of something heavy and random, then it would not be covered.
